Healthy Spring Cleaning - Top 10
Products based on how often I would use the cleaner and how much I would be exposed to its riskier counterpart:

3-In-1 Household Cleaner              2 Disinfecting Wipes

Liquid Dish Soap                           4 Dishwasher Detergent

Produce Cleaner                           6 Liquid Laundry Detergent

4-Way Soft Scrubber                    8 Bathtub Scrub

"Fauxbreeze"                                10 Dusting Spray

BONUS: Granite Cleaner (I noticed the Keeper of the Home's post did not include a granite cleaner and since marble, granite, and stone do not work well with citrus or vinegar, I thought I'd add this one in!)

Here's a very simple version of an all-purpose cleaner, which I've made using some leftover orange peels to make my housework a bit more a-peeling..

To make your own:
Step 1: Fill jar up half way with your citrus peels of choice (orange, lemon, lime, and grapefruit are wonderful)
Step 2: Fill up the remaining space in jar with white vinegar. Let steep for at least a few days-up to 2 weeks.
Step 3: Strain into spray bottle & double the fluid amount with water (so the citrus-vinegar to water ratio is 1:1)
Step 4 (optional): Add a few drops of essential oils for an extra fragrant boost & cleansing power.

Healthy Inner Cleaning

{Let's not forget to share some TLC with our hard-working bodies}

This easy-to-make drink can help your body do what it does best and can be used in two powerful ways:

Use #1: Detox - drink on an empty stomach, between meals

Use #2: Digestion & Weight Loss - drink 10 minutes before each meal

It contains apple cider vinegar that helps lower blood pressure, lemon juice to regulate pH, cinnamon for balancing blood sugar, and cayenne for boosting your metabolism and fighting inflammation.

I love the idea of using a drink for so many health benefits, since it can be to-go friendly and easy to add to my day-to-day routine. I would try to add this simple drink to your routine at least twice a year, but the more often you do the more benefit you'll receive!

Here is a video with Dr. Axe who walks you through the recipe and uses.

Secret Detox Drink

Ingredients:
1 glass of water (12-16 oz)
1-2 Tbsp Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar
1-2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp cinnamon
1 dash of cayenne
1 packet of white stevia powder

Directions:
Blend all ingredients together and enjoy!
*Note: If this is your first time using apple cider vinegar, I would start with 1 Tbsp and work up to 2 Tbsp.

For even more health-boosting benefits, you can use ginger water for the base, instead of plain water - just add 1-2 inches of freshly sliced ginger root to hot water and let it soak for 3-5 minutes before removing the ginger slices and mixing in the rest of the ingredients. You can also add a drop of an essential oil blend, like Young Living's JuvaCleanse.

In case you're not a big fan of the above drink (or perhaps you are, but would like to try something new), here's another drink to help increase your super powers:

Cinnamon Coconut Kefir Water

 Image from justsayhealthy.com.

Ingredients:
4 cups young coconut water - use 3-4 young coconuts
3 Tbsp rehydrated water kefir grains or 1 packet of kefir starter
1 quart-sized glass jar with lid
1 cinnamon stick

Directions:
The directions are somewhat lengthy, so click here to visit A Harmony Healing for full details.

The coconut water alone is an excellent energy booster, blood sugar balancer, reduces sugar cravings, and aids in weight loss. Because this beverage is fermented, it adds beneficial bacteria (to fight all the nasty bacteria in the gut), enzymes, vitamins, and minerals. Cinnamon helps balance blood sugar, is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, and boosts brain function (pass the cinnamon please!).
